Preview: Crooked Tongues x Le Coq Sportif Flash

Adding its take on the Le Coq Sportif Flash, Crooked Tongues looks to the train that connects the UK with France. To style the kicks, CT transformed the build with real suede and leather in place of synthetics. The sneakers usually glossy mesh has been muted with a matte finish mesh in its place. Further detailing includes carbon fiber detailing on the heel and a gum sole. The orange accents on the upper are drawn from the Eurostar train with the white, blue and red referencing the Tricolour and Union Jack.

Because it reminds us of the unexpectedly fresh piece of Gallic sportswear an exchange student might break out back in the day at school —consider this our own French exchange project.

-Crooked Tongues

Crooked Tongues also swapped out the usual metal top eyelet for plastic, because…

one of the CT crew swears blind that their shoes set off the metal detectors and nearly made them miss a particularly last-minute Eurostar journey a few years ago (though that could be entirely down to their abominable timekeeping).

The train themed trainers will go live in December through Crooked Tongues.
