Patta London drew a sizeable, fevered crowd of Air Max fans this week as the store dropped an exclusive package of 97 pairs of retro OG Air Max 97’s as part of Nike’s ‘London: ON AIR’ event. The drop which saw the dutch crew partnering with Radar Radio, Resident Advisor, Basement Approved, promoting together with Fabric for a new music showcase at the newly re-opened popular London club on Thursday evening. The store opened at midday and were greeted with a tightly packed crowd of eager fans desperate to get the limited edition Air Max 97 package which included a special collaboration event t-shirt along with a plus 1 ticket entry to the Fabric music showcase. As the store started to sell out of sizes, the crowd became increasingly frustrated as angry disputes were heard over people who were thought to be pushing in ahead of campers, many of whom had been at the storefront all night. With only 97 pairs available, the Patta crew delivered a quick no-nonsense approach and ably dispatched any would be quarrels in store with a fair policy of allowing pairs to be sold as 1 pair per customer in their own size only. Despite mildly intense and vocal protests from some attendees in-store, the Patta crew remained cool and courteous throughout, never wavering from the chill Patta store experience you have come to love and respect. We have seen a lot of drops, and Patta know what they are doing and do it very well, with some of the best experience in the sneaker business. Due credit and respect to team Patta for a smooth drop.

As Air Max day approaches, will we see more similar drop events, and expect to see an even more increased crowds at releases? We think more likely than not, so get ready and stay with us here at for all your latest drop news and event information.
