New Jersey based Packer Shoes is taking the NMD R1 in a place where the silhouette has not previously gone through a collaboration with adidas Consortium. Here is how Packer describes the release…
We looked to adidas’ rich and colorful apparel archive for our inspiration, adopting a classic color palette that was a prominent fixture in much of the brand’s ‘80s and ‘90s sportswear output. Using a full multi-color Primeknit upper featuring a front back color-split.
Packer sees the retro color application on the modern silhouette as a nod to its presence in retailing since 1907.
With a long and proud history in the business, we have witnessed much change, maintaining a unique awareness of sports heritage along the way… we set out to create an NMD Runner in a colorway that pays tribute to this long legacy and our vast knowledge and experience in the field.
Packer Shoes will have the sneaker on Saturday, the 12th of November for $180 both online and in-shop. Check your local adidas Consortium dealers for availability.
