Iceman. It’s one of the coolest nicknames in pro sports history. It’s also one of the reasons why the Nike Blazer was (and still is) so relevant. The sneaker of choice for the otherworldly George Gervin, the 1970’s model returns as the Nike Blazer Mid Premium.
We see the Blazer here in a simple Black/ White scheme. It’s hard to imagine this sneaker keeping up with explosive athletes, but it did its part and then some. In fact, its durability and performance makes it a favorite among 80’s skaters as well. They could thrash and wreck them, as skaters are wont to do with shoes, and the Blazers would hold up.
This time around, we see the shoe take on a premium build, sporting a suede upper. Beneath that, we also get the same old vulcanised outsole which won over both hoopers and skaters.
