Late last month saw the UK’s Crepe City team close out the year with their final sneaker & lifestyle festival with the biggest event yet at Crepe City 16, celebrating what must have been a very exciting and busy year for the crew. The last event of 2016 saw them launching their 3rd issue of their own magazine imprint as well as expanding on their apparel & accessories collections. As always, the event drew huge crowds from all over the UK and Europe packed into London’s Old Truman Brewery with bigger brands, more varieties of sellers and exhibitors in attendance than ever before, with improved ticketing tier systems for entry, feedback from attendees were good and access to the coveted sneaker grails/exhibition tables was smoothly handled throughout. New attendees showing included Size? the now europe wide retailer showcasing their upcoming winter ranges with staged discussion panels hosted by DJ Semtex with contributors from popular community sneaker groups Crepe City, and Basement Approved. Event mainstays Jason Markk always on hand to give the busy days attendees quick cleans and advice on boxfresh maintenance, Luke’s barbershop handing out neat grooming and all over trims and even more clothing stalls simply added to the already potent mix of swiftly emptying your wallets and ensuring your clothes game was as on point as your heat sneakers were. The Basement Approved team filled out their space with their brand of smart logo tees selling out amidst packed crowds as is the norm. Newcomers Circa Sixteen went in alongside popular streetwear brands Xtra Large, Huf, the Hundreds, Splayground and Attitude inc even dishing out free popcorn, all spotted with event exclusives and tables full of fresh gear.
It was a dope event, and we can only wait and see what the Crepe City team bring again next Spring. Thanks to Ron & Team CC, and until next time, check out our ‘On Foot’ recap here and for the forthcoming attendee Q&A’s.
