After re-introductions last year with NYC’s Kith and Italy’s Slam Jam stores, the Asics Gel -Mai returns again this spring in it’s updated form. The retro tech 1990 runner has made sporadic appearances since it’s launch and have remained a cult favourite for Asics collectors looking for something a little different. A more rugged, outdoor runner, built with multi environments in mind, the robust and strikingly featured asymmetrical sneaker with offset eyelet stay lacing systems, and a single layer pouch-like form fully wrapping the foot from the instep through the ankle. A moulded Gelâ„¢ midsole delivers superior cushioning and comfort. The new 2017 model has updated the last and pattern of the original model with an upright tongue creating a cleaner silhouette and the new midsole heel features FuzeGelâ„¢ technology for improved, enhanced cushioning. Two colour combinations are set to drop this April, the Blue/black and mono themed Black/black. Check the look book shots here –

The Asics Gel-Mai is available from the 13th of April Select Asics retailers including Leicester’s Well Gosh store – RRP: £105
