The latest sneaker out of adidas Originals is the Prophere. The sneaker is formed in a modern format with a textile upper while mimicking a 90s aesthetic. The sneaker will debut on the 15th of December through adidas Originals dealers and adidas.com.
adidas Originals is celebrating the launch of a new silhouette this month: Prophere. The style of the model challenges the norm and creates a new design aesthetic that knows no boundaries and breaks through the familiar.
The black mottled fabric upper forms the basis of the sneaker, whose provocative proportions reflect the uncertainties of the world. Embroidered stripes on the inside of the foot and the orange embroidery on the back cap set visual accents. The strikingly shaped rubber white rubber midsole with dynamic texture, knobs and orange accents on the outsole underscore the shoe’s all-new design. The brand branding made of PU material in the form of extremely wide 3-stripes also represents the lacing system of the silhouette and completes the release.
“With Prophe we look at our archive from a different angle. We use the aesthetics of the 90s as the brand experimented with eye-catching silhouettes. We have reinvented the provocative and uncompromising thinking of those days for the present. A self-assured approach to branding and unexpected tooling proportions inspired prophets. With this silhouette we are combining that energy of the 90s with the new generation, “says Nic Galway, chief designer of adidas Originals.
Creative artists from Britain’s up-and-coming music scene such as Benny Mails, 808INK, Oscar Worldpeace and JGrrey bring the campaign’s story to the public.
