The Nike Zoom 2k is yet another example of the brand’s penchant for re-living past glories. Sure, most shoe brands take advantage of their back catalogues. But, it’s rare to see one take us back to a specific moment in their own tech history. This edition of the Nike Zoom 2k does just that.

The upper’s are in a very 90s-friendly look. A mesh base layer is all purpose, while the leather overlays give us a familiar note of OG flair. This was, as most of you might know, a regular design choice for basketball shoes as well. The rubber wings that wrap around the midfoot are an innovation of the shoe’s time, adding a surprising stability profile.
