The last time we saw cow print on a sneaker was in the summer with the release of the adidas ZXZ Felt x Kuzuki, which are part of his adidas Originals by Originals collection.
The cow print makes its return on a two pack of Vans in a brown and white color combo in a pony hair on leather build. The collection includes both the Vans Sk8 Hi and Vans Slip-On. Both pairs have released in Japan and are available at Mischief.
Fritz the Cat is an animated character from the cultural watershed period of the mid 1960's. Fitting for the time period, Fritz dabbles in "Free Love" and drugs. Given the animated medium of the series and the adult content the series, the work was controversial in its day.
Fritz the Cat among other Robert Crumb creations are being honored by Vans. In addition to the Vans Sk8 Hi "Mr. Natural", the Vans Slip On "Fritz the Cat" has also released. The kicks feature that funky 1970's style of artwork seen on Fritz the Cat. The heel reads "R. Crumb" and "Fritz the Cat". You can find the sneakers in Paris at Colette for 70 euros.

Again the Mokassin theme is manifested with native american toebox stitching. The kicks come in brown and black colorways both made in suede.

In May we reported that Vans had produced a pack of sneakers inspired by the pioneering band Pixies. The kicks are specifically inspired by the 1997 compilation album "Death to the Pixies". The pack includes both the Vans Sk8 Hi and Vans Slip-On, which both come come black with Pixies inspired graphics. The Vans Sk8 Hi "Pixies" is now available in Japan at Ripe.
Vans Vault has taken the Era and Slip-on models and given them a classy new look. The sneaker set is another example of Vans' focus on sneakers with a "classy" flair for their Fall 2009 collection. Both models come in both a cherry tomato colorway and a plain white /gardenia colorway. Each sneaker features nice stitchings and white midsole.
No information on a release date yet, although the info on the picture says "8/1/09". We will keep you updated with more information, release date, and possible other colorways.

The Vans Slip-On Mega Check Pack consists of three different colorways of the Slip-Ons. Each sneaker comes in single toned uppers and midsoles in red, purple and green. For those who ask themselves why it is called the "Mega Check Pack": just take a look at the sneakers back at the midsole. There you can find a unproportional large check gum tag.
