The Nike Air Safari dates back to 1987, when the runner was first released. The sneaker already made a return earlier this season in a black, grey and orange colorway. Now the sneaker is set to release in a colorway that also blends black, orange and grey, however this time orange has a stronger presence. The kicks are an original colorway of the sneaker with one minor difference, the Spike Lee glasses on the tongue. The kicks are now available in Japan at Mita.
The Nike Big Nike High "Spike Lee" released in September at sneaker shops. This month the Nike Blazer "Spike Lee", which we first saw back in June will make the rounds at shops.
The kicks have a white perforated leather build with a red leather Swoosh, lucky green inner-lining, and black contrasting elements.
The color combination of of red, green and black is reminiscent of Africa Medallions, which were the thing to wear back in the late 80's and early 90's. The color combination is also associated with Lee from the poster art from Do the Right Thing to the colors used by his production company.
Footlocker has announced they will have the kicks in-stock this month.
Jordan Brand earlier this year celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Spike Lee film "Do The Right Thing" with a release of two Air Jordan 1 Retro Highs. Recently Nike has also celebrated the famed film director with the release of the Nike Big Nike High "Spike Lee" and the Nike Blazer "Spike Lee".
A third Spike Lee sneaker has surfaced, the Nike Big Nike Low. The kicks come in a black and neutral grey colorway with red accents. The kicks are now available in Japan at LTD.
Last week we posted that the Nike Big Nike High "Spike Lee" released. Now we have some detailed new images of the sneaker that features Spike's signature Mars Blackmon glasses in a Air Jordan 1-esque colorway.

Spike Lee has played a major role in the culture surrounding the Air Jordan. Jordan Brand pays constant homage to Lee with the Jordan Spizike and numerous Spike Lee aka Mars Blackmon colorways.
Now Nike pays respect to the American director with a pack of two Nike basketball sneakers. Included in the pack is a Nike Blazer and a Nike Big Nike High.
The Nike Big Nike High comes in a leather construction in a red, white and black colorway apparently inspired by the Air Jordan 1. The tongue makes reference to the big glasses worn by Spike Lee as Mars Blackmon. The kicks have now released and are available at Proper.
As part of the Air Jordan 1 "School Daze" pack comes this Air Jordan 1 High in an original colorway of black and shadow grey. The School Daze pack is of course a reference to the classic Spike Lee, which chronicled life at a predominantly African-American University. The kicks match the gear sported by the Gamma Phi Gamma frat brothers, in the step competition.

Nike is doing the right thing by releasing a "Spike Lee Pack" in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the release of "Do The Right Thing", the almost epic film among sneakerheads directed by Spike Lee.
The pack consits of the Nike Blazer Hi and Big Nike High. The Nike Big Nike High, which has a red/white/black upper, seems to be inspired the Air Jordan 1.
The Nike Blazer Hi inspiration appears to be drawn from Sal's Pizza, the Pizza spot in the film that was a focal setting in story. The upper of the sneaker comes in white perforated leather, red swoosh, green sock liner, and white leather on the toebox and tonge. The upper sits on a black and white midsole. The colorway reminiscent of the very first colorway of the Jordan Spizike that were released.
Both sneakers feature the oversized trademark glasses of Spike Lee on the tongue.
The kicks are said be to be scheduled for a late September or early October release.
