In May we reported that Vans had produced a pack of sneakers inspired by the pioneering band Pixies. The kicks are specifically inspired by the 1997 compilation album "Death to the Pixies". The pack includes both the Vans Sk8 Hi and Vans Slip-On, which both come come black with Pixies inspired graphics. The Vans Sk8 Hi "Pixies" is now available in Japan at Ripe.
The Pixies have developed a cult status as a Rock group laying ground work for the 90's rock sound. Vans is paying tribute to the band with a pack, which includes pairs of the Vans Sk8 Hi and Vans Slip-On. Each sneaker comes in a black and white colorway with graphics inspired by the greatest hits album "Death to the Pixies".
The pack is set to release after the summer at select shops.
