1989 is a date marked in history, the year saw the release of 3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul, the release of the Reebok Pump and Nike Air Max Light.

The three releases, are bound with the time, however the most important event of the year is the fall of the Berlin Wall, which literally changed the world.

Berlin based sneaker shop Overkill has teamed up New Balance to mark the 20th anniversary of the event.

Overkill chose to give the New Balance 577 three looks that have a classic look and feel. Each sneaker comes in white and grey with one in red, black and blue.

The insoles are where the story is told with photography showing moments from the Berlin Wall’s history.

Apparently the New Balance 577 SMU x Overkill “Berlin Wall” Pack will release on the 16th of December at Overkill. We will keep you posted.
