Once upon a time Nike and New York City based shop DQM hooked up to create a Dunk High. Sadly, the release was scraped. However, today DQM revealed the unreleased Nike Dunk that comes in a black with a completely perforated upper. Word has it that the sneakers were intended to be a hyperstrike release however only 24 pairs were ever made.
Last saturday the Nike SB Dunk Low “Blue Lobster” released exclusively at Boston based Concepts.
Today we have word that the kicks will release in New York City at Dave’s Quality Meats on the 30th of June. This release will not have special goodies like skate decks and t-shirts though. The kicks should also be making their way to sneaker and skate shops across the globe around that same time.
Fila usually flies under the radar, rarely collaborating with artists or shops. Of recent memory Fila has only signed Nas and rereleased the Fila Grant Hill.
Hopefully this will change with the brand working with NYC shop Alife Rivington Club. Here is a teaser image of three sneakers expected to release in June.
Virginia resident Tony Lovelace was recently given a surprise gift of an appointment at the Nike iD Bespoke appointment by his girlfriend. A great gift for any sneakerhead. Lovelace hooked up a pair of Nike Air Force 1’s in with an infrared clear midsole with an upper composed of a cement print, black, grey and infrared.
If you want to get the ultimate custom luxurious pair of Air Force 1’s made to your exact liking, first you must head over to Nike Sportswear Mercer 21 in NYC. Then give them lots of money (at least $800) and a design consultant will guide through the design process.
Next in process is a month wait to get your kicks by mail.
This weekend the Reebok Flash Pop-Up Store will open its doors in New York City . However the doors will not stay open long with the shops expiration date scheduled for the 14th of December.
Since the shop is based in NYC, there will be city specific property on hand like the Reebok NYC Court Victory Pumps that come in colorway based on NYC yellow taxi-cabs.
