The major release of the iconic Nike Air Force 1 Supreme styled by Mr. Cartoon for the Lance Armstrong Foundation happened on Saturday at shops around the globe. Stockholm based SNS is getting in a stock of the sneakers tomorrow. As the kicks are a Tier Zero release they will not be available online, so you will have to head to the shop, which opens at 11 in the morning.
Los Angeles based artist Mister Cartoon's "The Last Laugh" shop, released the Nike Air Force 1 x Mister Cartoon for LIVESTRONG at midnight on the 3rd of July., while the sneakers released across the US on Saturday.
The midnight release was set in Downtown Los Angeles, with a DJ, food, tattoos, a and a mix of people setting the backdrop for the release. 12 lucky people got a free pair via a raffle. Matching t-shirts were also on hand, exclusive to the Last Laugh. As an added bonus Mr. Cartoon signed every shirt sold that night.
The shirt is still available at the shop and will be online next week if any remain.
Having already become available at a midnight release in a Los Angeles based shop earlier this week, the Nike Air Force 1 Low x Mr. Cartoon for the Lance Armstrong stages collection will release across the US tomorrow at shops with Nike Tier Zero accounts. Among the shops getting in the kicks is San Francisco based Huf.
Boston based sneaker shop Concepts will get in the Nike Air Force 1 designed by Mr. Cartoon in the trademark colors of the Lance Armstrong Foundation, black and yellow. You can pick them up on saturday the 27th of June 2009, 4th of July 2009.
Here is another classic from the Nike vault that is being re-released in a reinterpreted version, coming in the Livestrong black and yellow signature colors. Los Angeles based Mr. Cartoon designed these Nike Air Force 1's in a very Los Angeles inspired look. Like the other re-worked Nike classics, these will release in July 2009.
The Mr. Cartoon Nike Air Force 1 created for the Lance Armstrong LIVESTRONG collection has already been previewed.
