Nike Air Pegasus 89 "Berlin" | Pre-Launch Party

Earlier in the week we posted some detailed images of the Nike Air Pegasus 89 “Berlin”. The sneaker is set for 510 limited release on the 4th of December, however a pre-lauch event recently took place in Berlin.

Given that the sneaker is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Berlin Wall, the event had art and displays associated with the Wall. Also on hand where displays about sneakers and some humorous diagrams.

Nike Air Zoom Tiempo TZ | Berlin / Paris / San Francisco

The second round of the Nike Air Zoom Tiempo x Livestrong “City Pack” is gearing up to release this Saturday the 7th of November 2009 at select Nike Tier Zero accounts.

Included in this drop are colorways representing Berlin, Paris and San Francisco.
The Nike Air Zoom Tiempo “Berlin” was designed by Artoo aka Henrik Kuerschner in a whit base with a rainbow of contrast stitching.

The Paris edition of the Air Zoom Tiempo designed by Yorgo Tioupas embraces simplicity in a black on black build treated to be reflective.

Massan from San Francisco must be a Giants fan because he styled his Air Zoom Tiempo in the teams colors brown and orange.

Nike Zoom Tiempo "Berlin" x Artoo x Livestrong

Last month the Nike Zoom Tiempo “Cutters Pack” x Livestrong released at shops with Nike Tier Zero accounts. The kicks came in colorways designed by London, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and New York City riders.

Another round of Nike Zoom Tiempo’s is set to release, which will include Berlin based rider Artoo. Artloo’s edition of the Nike Zoom Tiempo comes in a white base with contrast stitching in blue, green, orange, red and purple.

Nike Sportswear Air Pegasus 89 "Berlin Wall"

We recently posted a teaser of the Nike Sportswear Air Pegasus 89 “Berlin”. Today we have nice picture preview of the sneaker, which is marking the 20th anniversary of the Air Pegasus and the fall of the Berlin Wall.

The sneaker rests on a grey and white midsole supporting nicely crafted upper. The upper is built in mesh, leather, and suede with grey and black dominating the color combo. Purple accents subtly used on the laces, collar area, tongue, and stitching on the toe. The Swoosh features grey speckled concrete look, a direct reference to the fall of the Berlin Wall. The kicks also read “Berlin 89″ on the heel and insole.

510 pairs of the sneakers have been produced and are expected to release on the 4th of December at select shops with Nike Quickstrike accounts.

Reebok The Pump x Solebox | 20th Anniversary

Here is a closer look at the Reebok The Pump created by Solebox for the sneaker lines 20th anniversary collection. The kicks come in a black base with grey and yellow accents in a build that combines gloving leather, memory foam, neoprene all of which are laced with bungee cord laces.

The kicks are one of the more distinctive pairs from the Reebok The Pump 20th anniversary collection due to their “light-up” Pump unit.

You can find the kicks in Berlin on the 20th of November at Solebox, limited to 31 pairs.

With the Nike Air Pegasus 89 celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Berlin is celebrating its unification’s 20th anniversary too. Nike has created a sneaker to celebrate both moments. From this teaser the Air Pegasus 89 looks like smooth in black with purple contrast stitching and grey stone wall print on the Swoosh. We will keep you posted when the sneakers release.

New Balance 577 SMU x Overkill “Berlin Wall” Pack

1989 is a date marked in history, the year saw the release of 3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul, the release of the Reebok Pump and Nike Air Max Light.

The three releases, are bound with the time, however the most important event of the year is the fall of the Berlin Wall, which literally changed the world.

Berlin based sneaker shop Overkill has teamed up New Balance to mark the 20th anniversary of the event.

Overkill chose to give the New Balance 577 three looks that have a classic look and feel. Each sneaker comes in white and grey with one in red, black and blue.

The insoles are where the story is told with photography showing moments from the Berlin Wall’s history.

Apparently the New Balance 577 SMU x Overkill “Berlin Wall” Pack will release on the 16th of December at Overkill. We will keep you posted.
