Nike Air Max 90 Current Premium x Ben Drury

London based artist Ben Drury holds the distinction of being one of the first artist to interpret the Nike Air Max 90 Current. Nike Sportswear has once again called upon the artist to collaborate on the Air Max 90 Current.

We first got a teaser of the Nike Air Max 90 Current x Ben Drury back in April 2009. Today, the sneakers have released at Nike Sportswear 21 Mercer in New York City.

Drury styled the sneaker in a blend of leather, mesh, and nylon in a black upper. The sneaker lacks Nike branding on the tongue and and heel. On the heel a graphic can be seen on a grey panel and on the tongue of the right it reads "Trust Me" and the left reads "London".

The sneakers have a boot like quality with a metal d-ring eyelet and boot laces. The sneakers outsole features touches of purple, a subtle splash of color to this black, grey and white sneaker.

We will keep you posted when the sneakers release outside of NYC.

Nike Air Max 90 "Tongue N' Cheek" x Dizzee Rascal x Ben Drury

British MC Dizzee Rascal and British artist Ben Drury have collaborated on a pair of Nike Air Max 90's. The kicks mark the upcoming release of the "Tongue N' Cheek", which Ben Drury laid his hand on the cover art.

In terms of construction, Dizzee and Ben sought to create a "wearable" simple yet stylish sneaker. The upper is creamy in a mix of perforated, smooth and suede leather with grey on the heel and pink on the tongue.

You know that the sneakers come from Dizzee Rascal with the tongue in pink featuring "Tongue" on the right sneaker and "N' Cheek" on the left.

Other branded elements include a silhouette Dizzee on the heel and "Dirtee Stank Recordings" logo on the translucent outsole, insole and on the inside of the tongue.

You can pick up the limited sneakers at Nike Sportswear 1948 in London on the 18th of September.

Check out an interview with Dizze Rascal and Ben Drury on the kicks and sneakers in general at Crooked Tongues.
