Asics "Directional" Collection | Fall 2009

Asics is continuing its trend of releasing dope colorways, a prime example is the release of the Runovation series this summer.

The Japanese brand's next step is the creation of Asics Directional. Asics Directional is way to differentiate general releases and premium releases.

Like other premium lines the sneakers will be available only at premium sneaker shops like Colette and Patta, among others.

The initial collection from Asics Directional was created with Dutch Hip Hop MC Sef along with Remco and Remko.

Two sneakers are set to drop towards the middle of the month. The two sneakers are the Asics Gel-Lyte Speed and Asics GT II.

Asics Gel Lyte Speed "Tropical" x Mita Sneakers

Earlier this month we posted the Asics Gel Lyte Speed designed by Japanese based shop Mita Sneakers. We then reported that the sneakers would release in October, however Mita will have them available on the 5th of September. The kicks are limited to 500 global distribution so be prepared to dig to find a pair.

The kicks come in a mix of suede and mesh in a mix of grey, red, gold, pink, yellow, blue, and black. The kicks color mix is inspired by Tropical colors.

Asics Gel Lyte Speed "Grey Goose" | Available September

Here are some images of the Asics Gel Lyte Speed "Grey Goose" which are set to release in september. The kicks are constructed in an upper with a mix of grey tones in suede materials. The kicks also feature red accents, which take the form of stripes on the midsole and laces.

Asics Gel Lyte Speed | May 2009 Release

The Asics Gel Lyte Speed has garnered the attention of faithful fans of the sneaker recently with the announcement of some dope new colorways. Just released are the very nice black, white and turquoise colorway with a turquoise speckled sole. Also releasing are colorways of the Asics Gel Lyte Speed in white / black / purple and blue / black / pink.

The three are now available at select european shops such as SNS for 105 euros.
