adidas Originals "Plants" Pack x Kazuki x Makoto Azuma

Japanese designer Kazuki has placed himself as a key figure at adidas with his work on his own adidas Originals by Originals collection and his work on the Madsaki adidas Samba.

Kazuki has now teamed up with Makoto Azuma to created the Plants pack, which is part of the adidas Originals Five-Two 3. The pack includes the adidas Samba, adidas Forum Mid, adidas Superstar, adidas Stan Smith and the adidas Nizza High.

The kicks are minimalist, in white uppers with brown outsoles that represent the dirt and the insole is green representing plant life. Each sneaker’s tongue features the adidas trefoil logo in green, which extends down as a leafy stem.

The kicks are expect to release this month.

The Los Angeles Lakers were this year crowned NBA champions of the 2008-2009 season. As champions the Lakers have inspired a pair of adidas Superstars. The kicks are majestic, and come in metallic gold upper with purple and yellow accents. The Lakers logo can be seen on the tongue, side panel and insole that also bears the number 15, which is the number of times the Lakers have won the NBA title. Hyper Caffeinated soda Mountain Dew has produced the Green Label Art collection. The Dew recruited a number of artist to lay their hand at product design, including the cans.

Nathan Cabrera styled the adidas Superstar and Claw Money designed a New Era fitted cap.

Also in the mix are a pair of WESC headphones by Pushead and UPSO x G-Shock DW-6900.

adidas Five-Two 3 "Art" Pack

The adidas Five-Two 3 collection is a continuing series of releases of classic adidas models created using a given theme. The series was created to mark the 60th anniversary of the adidas trademark.

The latest Five-Two 3 collection features the typical five classic models including the adidas Samba, adidas Superstar, adidas Stan Smith, adidas Forum and adidas Nizza.

The pack is themed around various art mediums including the Samba in a sketched look. The adidas Superstar Track Top is also included in the pack.

As part of the adidas Originals Five-Two 3 “Brand” collection, adidas worked with Los Angeles based streetwear brand X-Large. The adidas Superstar is constructed in multi-colored snakeskin with touches of black suede and leather. The kicks come in a set of five laces that read “Getting No Respect Since ‘91″. The kicks are now available at select shops.
