Puma
The history athletic brand Puma is intertwined with the story of adidas. Before either company existed brothers Rudolf and Adolf Dassler, started an an an athletic footwear label in Germany. The brand was successful and produced track shoes, which were worn by Jesse Owens when he wore four gold medals in the Olympics in Berlin.
Eventually the two brothers went in different directions with Adolf Dassler starting adidas and Rudolf Dassler founding Puma in 1948.
At it inception Puma focused on athletic shoe for football and track & field.
