Puma “Tommie Smith” Suede Collection

One of the most recognized political gestures to take place in Olympic history in 1968 when the American track athlete Tommie Smith Held his fist in the air while barefoot on the first place podium during the playing of the national anthem. He was banned for his political statement, which called attention to oppression faced by black people during the era. Adidas is honoring Smith a collection of Suedes, which feature a fist monogram. The first pair in black will release latter this month while the Red Suede will release in August 2008.
