Airwalk Terrain x Staple Design x Star Trek

Jeff Staple and his design company's relationship with Airwalk continues with the release of a Star Trek pack. True fans of the Star Trek franchise will automatically understand the colorways as based upon Starfleet issue uniforms. The Airwalk Terrain comes in Captain Kirk gold, engineering class red and Science class blue. Along with the colorway references the kicks feature the Star Trek delta shield on the heel tab and tongue with the shield also seen as a lace clip. Another strong creation from Staple Design.

Look for the collection at Reed Space and Payless. The gold version of the sneakers are available only online.

Nike Big Nike Low LE "Oakland Raiders"

This year Nike has focused a number of its releases around Bo Jackson, with several of them in Oakland Raiders' Silver and Black.

The latest Silver & Black release is the Nike Big Nike Low. The majority of the kicks are built in black canvas with the side panel and toe-box in silver covered by a netted mesh overlay. The kicks rest on a silver outsole and the heel has a Raiders shield in silver with Nike black lettering in place of the usual "NIKE" on the heel.

Look for these to release on the 27th of November at the House of Hoops.

This Week in Kicks Volume 25

New Sneaker Releases:

This past Saturday Filipino boxer Manny Pacquio continued his dominance in the boxing ring defeating Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto. Pacquiao's victory was not the only reason for his fans to celebrate as his Nike Trainer 1 "Lights Out" released on Saturday at select shops.

This weekend adidas Consortium continued its "Your City" collection with its second drop that includes the adidas Stockholm, adidas New York, adidas Milano and adidas Kopenhagen. Each sneaker has local legitimacy with name brand sneaker shops from their respective city creating their design.

Amsterdam based shop Patta continued to celebrate its 5th anniversary this week with the release of its second pair of Nike Air Max 1's. The first pair, which released last week came in purple denim and was Amsterdam exclusive. The pair that released this week received a wider distribution to shops with Nike Quickstrike accounts.

This week's biggest event in terms of sneaker previews was the unveiling of the Air Jordan 2010. Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith of Nike and Jordan Brand introduced the Air Jordan 2010 in eight videos covering the different aspects of the sneakers design. Concepts x New Balance “Freedom Trail” Pack

Concepts x New Balance "Freedom Trail" Pack

The city of Boston is home to sneaker label New Balance and high-end sneaker shop Concepts. The two sneaker entities have come together to create a sneaker two-pack, which celebrates Boston's early history and is known as the "Freedom Trail" pack.

The Freedom Trail is a brown brick track painted in red that if followed, leads to the city's biggest monuments. Concepts has taken these two colors as the basis for their pack, which includes the classic New Balance 1500 and New Balance 875.

The New Balance 875 is a new sneaker, which is making its debut as part of the Freedom Trail pack. The kicks are built in full grain brown leather and suede and feature minimal red accents. The kicks inner-lining comes in soft pigskin leather, while the upper rests on a sole built with New Balance technology to assure comfort and stability.

The classic New Balance 1500, which dates back to 1989 comes in a brown full grain leather with pigskin leather lining and red accents.

Both sneakers are scheduled to release on the 27th of November 2009 at Concepts.

Nike Air Max 1 "Chlorophyll" x Patta

This past week the Nike Air Max 1 released in a design by Amsterdam based sneaker shop Patta as a Nike Quickstrike. The kicks were designed to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Patta. In terms of build, the sneakers combine denim chlorophyll, grey nubuck, and white mesh with Patta branding on the tongue. The sneaker are a hot seller with many shops stock cleared out, however you can still find the kicks in limited sizes at some sneaker shops like SNS.

We recently posted some preview images of the Nike Air Foamposite 1 "Copper". Now we have another look at the sneakers, which come in copper foamposite and black nubuck and rest on a clear icy sole. The kicks are not slated to release until next year, however marqueesole has the kicks available in one size for $400.
