Adam Goldstein announced on his twitter account last summer that he was in fact creating his own pair of Nike Dunks. Then tragically the noted musician, DJ and sneakerhead passed away in late August. At that point, the sneakers were unreleased, with no word if Nike would ever put the kicks out. In a move to honor Goldstein's legacy, the sneakers where given the green light for a release after Nike got the OK from DJ AM's family. The sneakers are now slated to release this Saturday the 9th of January at select shops, including NYC based Classic Kicks.
The kicks come in a red leather underlay with a patent leather black overlay and a grey Swoosh. Perforated Dots cover a section of the heel, referencing those seen on turntables. The tongue features a "DJ AM" logo inspired by that of AC/DC. Check your local sneaker boutiques for availability of the Nike Dunk High Premium x DJ AM.
