Back in 2008 when the summer Olympics was hosted in Beijing, Nike commissioned artist Michael Lau to style the Nike Blazer. Lau created the sneaker in a design to commemorate the inclusion of BMX biking as an Olympic sport, Fresh for 2008. The sneaker is a sample and never went into production as Nike ran an alternate Lau design to celebrate BMX.
