Last we week we posted a preview of some select Nike Air Max 90's that are part of the Nike Sportswear Holiday 2009 collection. Among the make-ups that we posted, was one in a clean white upper upper in a mix of leather and mesh. The white monotone upper is broken up by a varsity maize inner-liner and on the black midsole which is covered with varsity maize dots and dashes.
The insole of the sneaker features a graphic of waffle iron rocking some Nike sneakers. The graphic is a reference to Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, invention of creating the the concept of the waffle sole with his waffle iron at home. Look for the sneakers to become available in your local sneaker shops in the coming weeks.
The waffle graphic can also be seen on the insole of the Nike Air Max 90 in black and dark obsidian.
