Just For Kicks DVD Release

“Les culte des Baskets” AKA “Just for Kicks” a documentary about sneaker culture was released two days ago hear in France. The film covers the origins of sneaker culture and it relation to the rise of Hip Hop get input from hip hop legends such as Russell Simmons and Run DMC. The film tries to understand sneaker culture from many perspectives talking to designers and marketers to understand how shoes are produced.
The film is available for purchase in two formats a simple DVD or a collector’s edition.
The collectors editions comes in the pictured shoe box and several extras such as a bonus film on how to keep you kicks clean, a short documentary about Tinker Hatfield , the uncut section about the deal between Run DMC and Adidas , and other info. The Collectors edition also comes with a pair of fat laces and the “give us a million dollars t-shirt”.
The regular version retails for 19.90 euros while the Collectors edition is going for 35 both are available at Fnac and Footlocker outlets in France.
