Minimalism is still around but its in the background as prints are the new thing. The best example of this can be seen with the Galaxy prints from Nike that have fueled sneaker chatter all year. However, lower profile releases have equally embraced prints with numerous labels adding their spin to animal and camo styles.
Among the labels that focused much of their collection on prints this year was Gourmet. The Los Angeles based label will continue that into 2013. The label will move into new territory next season with star covered kicks, those laced in Tiger and Zebra stripes while also working with classics like zig-zag looks and houndstooth.
