We recently posted a preview of the Vans Mountain Edition x Knoll. Now we have a look at a pair of the Vans Mountain Edition, which is part of the Vans Syndicate winter 2009 collection.
The kicks are made for the winter with a waterproof build and an inner lining layered to keep your feet warm. In terms of materials, the sneakers are built in a mix of leather and ballistic nylon treated in scotchguard to keep the kicks clean.

The Vans Switchback has a very nice minimalist boot-like quality. The kicks seen here come in a black leather construction. You can find the sneakers now in Northern California at Bows and Arrows.
Sneaker brand Vans is from California where the season changes bring weather that varies by sunny to partly cloud. So the winterized sneakers are for fashion and not function.
On a bright winter California day these recently released Vans Authentic three-pack are well suited. There bright colors fall in step with the suns rays. The kicks feature a traditional canvas build with neon colors in blue, orange and yellow.

Vans Vault has teamed up with North American based design firm Knoll to produce a collection of the Vans Mountain Edition. The kicks come in a range of four colorways in a build, which appears to be nylon. The sneakers are part of the Vans Vault Spring 2010 collection. Check your local shops around March and April to check out the kicks.
The Vans Chukka Del Barco has released in several interesting colorways as part of the fall / winter Vans collection. The sneaker, which blends the classic Chukka style with boat shoe look, has now released in two colorways. One comes in brown and the other comes in black. Check your local Vans Vault dealer for availability.
Here is a preview from the Vans Vault Spring 2010 collection. The Vans premium line is known for its forward looking style and quality materials. As part of the lines Spring 2010 collection, look for the Vans Buffalo Boot LX. The sneaker’s style follows the boot style trend with metal eyelets and boot-like laces. The kicks come in both black and brown color combos.

As part of the Vans Vault winter 2009 collection, the exclusive wing of Vans has recruited pro skater Ray Barbee to lay his hand on a series of sneakers to celebrate his time as an artist in the skate culture. Barbee chose the nostalgic route, grouping the Vans Chukka Boot ‘95 LX, Vans Era ‘87 LX, and the Vans Old Skool ‘92 LX. Each sneaker takes on a look from the past in terms of material, color, details, and packaging. Check your Vans Vault dealers for availability.
