Today in Paris the limited edition Air Jordan XX3 released at exactly 11 in the morning. On hand 23 deliberate pairs of the coveted sneakers were up for sale, and promptly sold out. The place all of this sneaker love took place was at Opium…one of the places to in Paris to go if you want that limited edition pair of Kicks. Opium prides itself on not just being a sneaker shop but also a museum for sneaker culture. And true to that mission the store went all out for the release of the first pairs of the Air Jordan XX3 in France. Check out these photos of how they transformed their shop to celebrate the release of the Air Jordan XX3 and mark the Air Jordan legacy.

This summer is the 6th anniversary of French sneaker culture website La MJC. To mark the occasion La MJC has collaborated with the Parisian urban culture shop Colette and New Balance to create a pair of New Balance 1500’s. The sneaker was manufactured entirely in England with Black Carbon leather. The color of the sole of the sneaker is fushia, which is a key color of the La MJC site. The sneaker comes with two pairs of laces one black the other fushia. The sneaker is limited with only 190 pairs being available worldwide. You can be one of the first to pick up a pair on the 7th of July 2007 at Colette and SoldOut.

Next weekend in Paris, the sneaker boutique Lazy Dog is putting what it’s calling a Mini Street Market. The market will include both new and vintage sneakers and gear, including Stussy, BBC, Puma, Nike, Adidas, Undefeated, A Bathing Ape and others. The sale is looking to liquidate, so everything must go at potentially low prices. The best stuff should go fast so get there early. The event is running from the 7th of June to the 9th.

Just over a year ago in March 2006, LA MJC and Colette created the site WeSoldOut. To celebrate WeSoldOut’s anniversary along with the 25th anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1, they have decided to create a unique pair of Air Force 1’s at the Force Club in Paris. The sneaker is extremely limited with just 5 pairs created. The sneakers feature a lasered SoldOut on the sneaker as well as being numbered. All five pairs will be available for purchase on SoldOut on Wednesday the 9th of May 2007 at the exact time that the site came online in March 2006. The kicks will be available in US sizes from 8.5 to 12.

Parisian concept shop Colette has teamed up with mega-label Lacoste to create a set of Polo Shirts to celebrate Colette’s 10-year anniversary. The concept for the collection is a story Featuring Colette’s own trademark Caperino & Peperone teamed with the iconic Lacoste alligator. The story is played out over 14 polos with the characters placed in different positions on the shirts. The polos will be packaged in a special tube (shown after the jump). The French urban culture website LAMJC has created a book entitled “All Gone: The Finest of Street Culture 2006”. As the title states the book covers the highlights of street culture for the year 2006. The book was created in collaboration with ndesignwetrust and the Parisian Sneaker Shop Colette. Although the book was created and printed in France all the text is in English over its 178 pages. If you want to pick up your copy, be quick, the book has a limited production of 500 copies. Although there is definitely a following for Air Jordan’s in France, I think these will not fly off the shelves like they would in United States, but if you are dying to get a pair don’t wait.

This is the second version of the Nike “Safari Pack”; the original was only available through Atmos Japan. This Safari Pack 2 includes a Dunk, Air Max 1 and Court Force. For all the sneaker heads in France, you will be able to pick these up tomorrow (with the exception of the Dunk which will not be available in France, tant pis) the 15th of January at selected sneaker shops through out the country. Note these are limited with all shops will have a maximum supply of ten pairs.

These shoes originally were released last spring however with a limited distribution in certain Bloomingdale Department Stores in the United States. Nike SB x Cliché

Nike SB is collaborating with the French skateboard company Cliché to produce a pair of dunk SB’s as well as a line of gear. The Nike SB’s and the gear will be available in January 2007 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Cliché. A DVD will also be available the chronicles the 10 year history of Cliché. All products in the line will be limited.

The shoe is made out of high quality black nubuck on a gum sole, features laser cut skull pattern on side pieces, black corduroy swoosh and inside lining.

On a recent trip to Paris I checked out the Nike Paris, Nike store. The store has a massive collection of sports apparel and shoes. The store clerks are extremely helpful (speaking English, Spanish, German, and of course French) although they are very busy because of the huge amount of customers.

While at Nike Paris I wanted to buy the exclusive T-shits there but they cost 28 Euros so I had to settle for some new Kicks.

These are the Air Morgan’s part of the NKE 6.0 line, Baroque Brown colorway. I paid 70 Euros for these.

The Footlocker in Bordeaux can be found on rue Port Dijeaux about 75 feet from the major city square Place Gambetta. � The service at the location is up to US standards for the franchise: horrible. � I found the staff to be unresponsive and rude. � If you want good service I would suggest going to the smaller sneaker shops on rue Sainte Catherine. � However you will not find the amazing selection that footlocker provides. � Whether you are looking for Jordan’s, AF1’s, limited kicks as well as Adidas, Pumas and Reeboks. � The most impressive aspect of the store is its huge selection of Nike Max Plus product�many of it exclusive to Footlocker. Unfortunately the sales people did allow me to take pictures of the shoes�so you will have to use your imagination.
