
Converse is officially in the skate sneaker game with the Cons Chuck Taylor Skate. The will become available in early January 2009 for $55.

The Big Day Out is Australia's largest music festival and with Converse being a sponsor it has decided to create Converse Chuck Taylor lows for the event. The kicks will release exclusively in Australia in the beginning of December at selects spots such as Hype DC. 50 of the kicks will have randomly inserted tickets to the concert in the shoe boxes.

As part of the 100 year celebration of the Converse Chuck Taylor, Converse is releasing the kicks in designs honoring Classic Rock bands. We have already seen Chucks honoring The Grateful Dead and Black Sabbath, now we have a look at a pair for The Doors, which features an image of Jim Morrison. You can pick them up at shops that carry limited Converse like Major DC.

After the use of perforated leather was used on the Converse All-Star created in partnership with Barneys, Converse continues to use the material. This pair of Converse All-Stars comes in a neutral grey upper in a mix of perforated leather and suede. The kicks are slated to release at sneaker shops like Flauge in the near future.

A preview of the latest pair of Converse All-Star created for the Project (Red) organization that fights against HIV/AIDS in Africa has appeared online. The Chucks were designed by Dennis Juan Ma from New Zealand. There is no word on a release for these kicks.
