Converse Pro Leather High "Jordan Edition" | Sample

We recently posted an interview with Michael Jordan were he stated he wanted to sign with adidas over Nike when he first entered the NBA. Before the NBA, while at UNC Jordan wore Converse sneakers.

It makes sense that Converse would create a pack of Jordan inspired colorways of the sneaker he wore while playing college ball. Back in 2005, the Converse Pro Leather High "Jordan Edition" were created in a white and gold colorway. The kicks never released despite the concept being on point.

Converse x Patta x Le Le | Pro Leather 76 / Chuck Taylor

The globally influential Amsterdam based sneaker shop Patta is turning five this year. The shop has marked the occasion with previous collaborative releases. As the month is nearing an end Patta has announced a project with Converse and Dutch band Le Le.

The collaboration has produced a letterman jacket and two sneakers. The Converse Pro Leather 76 comes dark burgundy and hints of grey accents in a corduroy construction.

The second pair from the collection is the Converse Chuck Taylor High. The sneaker is not your ordinary pair of chucks in a sole that is vintage 1960's. The upper comes in quilted grey suede with dark burgundy accents.

The collection is set to release on the 5th of September at Patta and will then later release around the globe at select shops.

The Ace Hotel group is "the country's most original hotel", according to the New York Times. And indeed they are going the extra mile to provide comfort to their customers in a ways that are not common hotel standards. Their goal is to create an environment that gives the feel of staying at a hip friends place over night.

But let's focus on the shoes.

Since Ace Hotels employees wear Converse Chuck Taylors it is only a logical step that Ace Hotels and Converse would team up to design a model for the opening of Ace Hotel NYC.

The result is an all olive green Chuck that represents the company's independent touch.

Converse Jack Purcell Racearound High

The Converse Jack Purcell is definitely not a new model in the Converse lineup. But the updated Racearound High definitley is.

The sneaker has an all black leather and nubuck material mix on the upper with contrasting white stitching. The Jack Purcell's signature toe cap has been removed from this variation, which complements the high top sneaker a lot.

The kicks are for sale now at select Converse dealers.

These are the Converse Jack Purcell 1Hund(red)'s designed by Ian Ginoza. They have a texturized white Epi Leather upper on white sole, with red hints on the sock liner, toetip and tongue that provide the punch for these velcro-strap sneakers.

Converse Skateboarding CTS High Perf Leather | SS 2010

Converse Skateboaring is preparing for the Spring/Summer 2010 season and has just released pictures of the upcoming CTS High Perforated Leather.

The model is based on the original Chuck Taylors and is made of premium perforated leather with extra padding around the ankle for skating.

They will be available in black and white at shops with Converse Skateboarding Accounts in Spring 2010.

Converse Moonwalk x Loren Kulesus

Designer Loren Kulesus literally flipped the Converse Chuck Talyor reversing the sneakers style. The kicks are known as the Converse Moonwalk with a design inspired by a dance that the late Michael Jackson made famous as his signature move. The kicks have moved from concept to reality are expected to release in NYC at Alife Rivington Club this week.
