Washington Wizard star Gilbert Arenas has stepped up to help the education system in The Washington DC. For every point he scores this season at home games he will donate a $100 while every point he scares on the road the team owner will do the same. Adidas has produced a sneaker to honor Arenas; the Adidas Gil II Zero “Scores for Schools”. You can pick up the sneakers on the 8th of February 2008.

Here is a mix of what Nike has to offer for 2008. As we have just mentioned Nike will release a vintage basketball series. And from that series we have a look at a pair of Terminator High, which feature that worn vintage look. Also we have a look at the Nike Air Force 1 – Air Jordan V Hybrid, Air Max Light Triax 91, Air Max Structure Triax 91, and a pair of Air Max 1 Premium SP. Look for all of these in 2008.

Nike created the its Vintage series of running shoes which dropped this year. Next year, 2008, they are focusing the vintage style at basketball kicks: the Vandal and the Terminator.

Nike reworked the classic Blazer to increase comfort level of the kicks and the end result is the Super Blazer. The kicks feature both nylon and leather materials and can be purchased now at such sneaker shops as SoldOut.

Here are two new colorways of the Nike Air Assault Low, which just came out as a retro this year. The kicks come in blue/black/grey color combo with a black safari print on the midsole or an orange and brown colorway with a navy safari print. No word a release date for the kicks.

One of the most iconic players to ever be sponsored by Nike is Sir Charles Barkley. Recently Barkley has been honored with several retros of his basketball trainers. And as many of you know he is now being honored with an extensive collection of Air Force 1’s which chronicle his monumental career. Pictured here are a pair of Air Force 1 Supreme Max and Air Force Supreme. Both kicks feature premium leather and will release on the 1st of October.

Here is an interesting project from Adidas and NBA star Gilbert Arenas. Coming is the Gil II Zero aka Gil 20, in a collection of 20 different sneakers. The collection will feature collaborations with Vitamin Water, Coke Zero, Halo, Looney Tunes, Slam Magazine, ThreeZero, UNDR-CRWN, and Benihana. First shoe will release November 23rd with rest of the collection releasing throughout the NBA season.
