Asics GT-II “Tweed” Pack

During the fall and winter month sneaker brands usually roll out sneakers in materials traditionally used on outerwear. The Scottish fabric Tweed is frequently seen on sneakers this time of the year.

Asics has now released two pairs of the GT-II in a mix of tweed and leather. One pair has a very somber look in black, grey, purple and teal, while the other has livelier a look in brown with orange and green accents.

Both sneakers have released and are now available, you can find them in Cologne at The Good Will Out.

If you are a loyal eukicks.com reader you will most likely know about the past collaborational works of Asics with Culture Shoq and Nice Kicks.

Today Highsnobiety unveiled a preview shot of the upcoming release of the Asics Gel Lyte III x Highsnobiety.
From this image we can tell that grey patent as well as blue nubuck was used on the upper. The combination of these materials and colors seem to go well together making the sneakerhead want to see more detailed pictures.

Asics Procourt High x Gettry | “Sidekick Pack”

Asics came together with the japanese shop Gettry to work on a collaborational sneaker. Here we present you the result of the work:

The “Sidekick Pack” consits of two differentially designed Asics Procourt models.

One comes in a more plain and straight colorway with black upper and yellow accents beeing the sole, lashes, sockliner and stitchings.

The other one comes n a bold jamaican colorway having a mainly red upper with green towards the back, black patent leather swoosh, and yellow sole, lashes, straps as well as stitchings.

They are not released yet but are available for pre-order exclusively at Gettry.

Asics GT II “Kiwi”

Asics has a knack for constructing kicks with a dominant color and harmonious accents. This Asics GT II does not violate the rule with a white upper with red accents on the side panel and kiwi green and black on the midsole, heel, and laces. The kicks will be in stock at sneaker shops in December.

Asics “Directional” Collection | Fall 2009

Asics is continuing its trend of releasing dope colorways, a prime example is the release of the Runovation series this summer.

The Japanese brand’s next step is the creation of Asics Directional. Asics Directional is way to differentiate general releases and premium releases.

Like other premium lines the sneakers will be available only at premium sneaker shops like Colette and Patta, among others.

The initial collection from Asics Directional was created with Dutch Hip Hop MC Sef along with Remco and Remko.

Two sneakers are set to drop towards the middle of the month. The two sneakers are the Asics Gel-Lyte Speed and Asics GT II.

Onitsuka Tiger Saiko Runnfer MT | New Releases

The Onitsuka Tiger Saiko Runnfer MT is a mid cut runner, which made its debut in the 1980’s. The kicks have just released in two new colorways, with one in grey and green and the other comes in a more eye-catchy white, black, ocean blue, purple and yellow color combination. Both sneakers are constructed in synthetic leather, mesh, and textile materials.

You can find both pairs now at sneaker shops including Schuh-You.

Asics GT II | “Yankee Doodle”

Nicknamed “Yankee Doodle”, the Asics GT II October release shows up in a decent and well balanced colorway.

The sneakers upper features leather and mesh material. Midnight Blue is the dominating color that is contrasted by white components and red stitchings. Multicolored laces round up the sneakers color concept and add additional pop to the “Yankee Doodle”.

The sneaker will be released in October at select Asics Retailers.

Asics Gel Lyte Speed “Tropical” x Mita Sneakers

Earlier this month we posted the Asics Gel Lyte Speed designed by Japanese based shop Mita Sneakers. We then reported that the sneakers would release in October, however Mita will have them available on the 5th of September. The kicks are limited to 500 global distribution so be prepared to dig to find a pair.

The kicks come in a mix of suede and mesh in a mix of grey, red, gold, pink, yellow, blue, and black. The kicks color mix is inspired by Tropical colors.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Nice Kicks

The Trilogy Project pairs several entities in the sneaker world, NYC shop David Z and sneaker designer Ronnie Fieg anchor the project. Last week the Asics Gel Lyte III x Culture Shoq released in limited numbers, the first sneaker to release from the collection.

The Trilogy Project also includes an Asics Gel Lyte III created with sneaker blog Nice Kicks. The kicks come in red with touches of grey and white based on the sites colors.

In terms of construction of the sneakers, Nice Kicks editor Matt Halfhill stated:

Though color choice was important for us, the material selections took a very high priority. From front the back, the shoe features a nubuck toe cap, perforated pig skin toe box and side panels, patent leather striped overlaying 3M reflective material, finishing off with ballistic mesh on the tongue and ankle collar.

The 250 kicks will release in October at David Z for $105.

Earlier this month we posted a pair of Asics Gel Lyte III’s in a grey, black and white colorway with purple accents. The kicks are a product of a collaboration between designer Ronnie Fleg, Asics and style site Cultureshoq. The sneakers come premium materials that include leather and pigskin suede.

New York based David Z will be the only shop to carry the sneakers with a limited stock of 150 pairs. The sneakers will be available on Friday the 31st of July.

Asics GT II x Bread & Butter Berlin

Fashion trade show Bread and Butter Berlin took place last week with sneaker and apparel brands showcasing their future releases. Asics made its mark on the event with two pairs of the GT II in white / salmon and salmon / white, created for the event.

The kicks are limited, with only 300 pairs produced, 200 of which were gifts to a select few. the remaining 100 pairs are said to be available to the public.

As of recent Asics has been on point with their use contrasting colors and elements on a white base. The latest release of the Asics GT-II does not interrupt this pattern. The kicks come in a white colorway with pink, yellow and black accents.

The most interesting point on the kicks is found on the midsole, which features a sound visualization bar patterns.

The kicks are now available at TGWO in Cologne.

Here are the Asics Gel Lyte III created with Paris Colette and La MJC. The kicks, which come in nylon and nubuck pays tribute to running shoes from the late 1980’s and 90’s in terms of style and color.

You can pick them up on the 13th of December 2008 exclusively in Europe along with a “free” matching sports bag at Colette in Paris, Solebox in Berlin, and Patta in Amsterdam. Only a 100 pairs will release with 76 at Colette, and 12 pairs at both Solebox and Patta.

Here is the latest pair of Asics Gel Lyte II created in collaboration with online shop Sold Out. The kicks come in light blue, black and red in nubuck, nylon, and reptile leather. The kicks are limited to a 100 pairs globally each of which come with a matching scarf. Of the hundred kicks 76 will be available in Paris at Colette, 12 pairs at Patta in Amsterdam, and 12 pairs at Solebox in Berlin. You can pick them up on the 20th of December.

Asics x David Z “Stainless Steel” + “Solid Gold”

New York City sneaker shop David Z that is based in the Soho area of the city recently collaborated with Asics. The collaboration has produced two color combos one in stainless steel and red which represents the shops 25 years of business while the other is in gold and black represents the stores high-class status on the sneaker shop totem pole. There is no exact release date but word has these dropping around Christmas time. Only 200 pairs of each color combo will be available with a scheduled 50 pair per color available on their website, with the rest available at their shop on 556 Broadway.

Asics Gel Lytes x David Z

The Asics Gel Lytes created by Dutch sneaker shop Patta, were hot product early this year. Now Asics has given New York City based shop David Z a shoot at designing their very own Gel Lytes. The sneakers will have a limited release with only 252 of each sneaker up for sale. The sneaker on the left will release the 15th of may 2007, with the other two dropping the 1st of July at a retail price of $90.

One key restriction, which will disqualify many of you, one must be living in a European country to enter the competition. Deadline to enter the competition is the 29th of June 2007.
