In December, Newcastle based SoleHeaven hosted a release party for the Air Jordan XI Cool Grey with pro-ballers putting on a show.
The latest event hosted by SoleHeaven is to showcase the Asics Spring/Summer 2011 sneaker collection, which took place on Thursday. The centerpiece of the event was a BBoy battle with the sneakers creating a proper ambience for the occasion. Check out SoleHeaven to check out their selection.
SoleHeaven were the hosts and it was all about the sneakers.
To freshen up the launch party concept SoleHeaven drafted in some of the UK’s finest BBoy to show the style and versitility of the new season’s silhouettes from ASICS.
When BBoys are battling it’s all about stage presence & style along with out technical performance so this was a great way to show off the shoes and how to rock em’.
We had local bboy legend Smoove on the decks and in support we had live percussion and flute to add a element of live music to the jam.
Newcastle’s top sneaker & hip-hop heads were in attendance and the atmosphere was electric, the bboys were totally vibing from the crowd and the showcase battle between Bad Taste Cru & Floor Gangz Worldwide lasted a massive 35mins!
ASICS were so impressed with the high standard on the floor they decided to drop a mouth watering £500 bonus to the crew that impressed the most”¦”¦it was going off, the battling was intense and stamina became a serious factor.
The location for the event was perfect, it was a disused warehouse opposite The Sneaker Lounge (SoleHeaven.com’s physical home) and it felt like we were in Brooklyn”¦it was dope!
The shoes on display were the Gel Lyte III, GT II, GT Ultra & Aaron.
